According to the data of Turkish Statistical Institute, the property sales to the foreigners in our country have increased up to 22.830 from 18.000 which means that there is a %20 rise between 2014 and 2015. The sales made by Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Russia and England citizens forms more than half of this mentioned number. It is reported that the interest of foreigners for properties in Turkey will continue by increasing in 2016 as well. It is seen that the most buying has been made by the people from Iraq with 4.228 property sales. This is followed by Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Russia citizens. Most of these people want to buy property in Turkey with our country’s natural beauties and economical reasons.
In addition to this fact, those foreign people do not buy property not only for holiday purposes but also for investment goals. 7.493 of 22.830 properties sold to foreigners last years located on Istanbul, 6.072 of them are in Antalya and 1501 of them are in Bursa. Plus, there is a %246 rise in Trabzon with 778 properties. This numbers show us that they do not take “holiday” criteria into consideration but also they prefer the regions who offer them new and peaceful life in Turkey.
With these numbers, it is expected that the property buyings of foreigners will increase more when compared to the previous year. They prefer buying property in Turkey in spite of the fact that there are some political issues around the country since Turkey preserves its being a peaceful country and its development level being pretty high economically when compared to many other countries nearby and its having many natural beauties which helps the real estate market get into motion more and more.
