The current station of the Third Bridge that will relieve the traffic of Istanbul has been reported. While planning 59 steel bridge floor segments at total, 21 big apron has been planted both in Europe and Asian side.
The production of the remained 17 steel aprons is still being carried out in the facilities that are in Tuzla and Altinova. While the construction of 1017 meters of the apron that is at the main span and that is 1408 meters long which will put the two sides together is completed, there has been 391 meters left in order to realize this union. In addition, the drawing and the compress of the main cable harnessess have been completed and the montage of the cable bands is still being carried out.
It is expected that the project will be completed on February. With 95 kilometers highway and connection roads, two-lane train road, eight-lane highway capacity, light food road and its esthetic, the mega project aims to become a pilot project to the world since it has the feature of being a pioneer in the world in many ways.
When it is completed, it will be the largest bridge with its 59 meters width, the longest drawbridge on which the rail system will exist with the main span that is 408 meters and it will have the highest tower with its height that exceeds 320 meters. 2 lanes will be saved for the rail system and 8 lanes will be saved for the car traffic.
The Third Bridge and Kuzey Marmara Highway Project will cost approximately 4,5 billion dollars. The bridge route is located on Sariyer’s Garipce Village on European Side and Poyrazkoy district of Beykoz on Asian side. The temporary lighting system is being set up on the towers, the ground and suspension ropes of the bridge so as to carry out the works at the worksite. It is expected that this project is going to be one of the most important projects that will affect the real estate market of Turkey which will lead people buy more and more property in Turkey.
