In the recent years, an investment record has been broken with the mega projects occurred in Turkey which means that many people both from domestic and foreign regions have invested in Turkey. Turkish construction sector has put approximately 7.000 projects into practice that reaches totally 242 billion dollars in 100 countries that are located on The Balkans, Middle Asia, Russia, Middle East and Africa. Having a trading volume that is 250 billion dollars, the sector continued carrying out new projects in 2015 as well. At the end of 2015, the construction of 156 bridges has been completed and the works of 481 bridges are still being carried out. In addition to this, 44 tunels have been completed and the construction of 96 tunels is still being carried out.
Drawbridge, strained oblique cable cable-stayed bridge, special ferro-concrete and steel bridge, viaduct and tunel projects that rank in the first five ranking in the world and that are named as mega projects in our country, are being realized according to different system constructions and with the appropriate methodologies using the special machine, material, equipment and appliance. In Highways, Bridges and Tunels Speciality Fair where the mega projects will be introduced, the national and international project operators will come together with the related partners that are producers, manufacturers and suppliers and it seems that this organization will become a fact that will pave the way for Turkey in the future.
International Highways, Bridges and Tunels Specialty Fair will be held at Ankara Congresium betwen 26-28 May 2016 under cover of Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication with the technical support of General Directorate of Highways and Turkish Road Association.
