Turkey’s real estate market offers many new build properties for both domestic and foreign people for a long long time. However, this demand has started to be seen more in the recent years. People who want to buy property prefer the popular districts like Istanbul, Bursa and similar places. If you are one of them and do not know where to start, we would like to recommend some important things to consider when buying a new build property in Turkey.
• First of all, there are some important differences between the new build properties and re-sale properties. They show some differences in cost, quality, condition and some similar features. When we look through the bargaining part, it is quite difficult to bargain for a new-builds since they are new and shiny. You may not be able to get a cheaper price for it but even if you pay more than you expect, you will not regret buying it in fact.
• When you are buying a new build property, if its construction is not completed yet, it is possible that you may be able to choose the characterisctics of the property that are its floors, walls, tiles and all the other specific materials of the house and you may even add some new features depending on your special needs. This would be quite difficult to do for an already existing property for instance. However, even if you do small changes, you do not need a major renovation for the property since it is a new build one.
• Prepare your questions before you carry out the buying process. This should be in fact done for every type of property since buying something without checking out every single detail may result in unexpected problems in the future.
• The budget has to be planned carefully since some future expenses may appear all of a sudden that are named as “hidden costs” in general. In order to avoid these surprise things, it is better to check what is included to the price of the property. These hidden costs can emerge since they may not be provided within the house.
